FIRST LEGO League Explore (grades 1-4) is a non-competitive inroduction to robotics. Students learn basic programming and building skills while creating a moving model based on the season's theme. Teams will share what they've learned at a festival at the end of the season.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge (grades 4-8) is a competitive program where teams build and program a LEGO robot to complete as many missions as possible in 2.5 minutes. Teams will compete in one competition in November. Those who qualify for the state competition will compete again in December.
FIRST Tech Challenge (grades 9-12) is a competitive program where teams design, build, and program a robot to compete in head-to-head alliance games. Teams will compete in two regional competitions in January. Teams that qualify for the state competition will compete again in February.
