Two-Week Camp: July 29th-August 9th (Monday-Friday)

Who: Aristotle and Plato Students

COST: $75/student ($25 deposit due at registration)
SUPPLIES: Instrument, Essential Elements Book, Pencil, Water Bottle

Grade 5: Beginning Instrument Classes
8:00AM-9:00AM: Flute, Saxophone, Trumpet, Clarinet
9:00AM-10:00AM: Trombone, Percussion, French Horn

5th Grade Band Camp is the critical first step toward success on your child’s new
instrument! In these two weeks we will focus on the basics of each instrument
including breathing, posture, embouchure formation, hand position, playing
techniques, basic fingerings and note reading specific to your child’s instrument.
This is the ideal setting for establishing good techniques and habits before
students join with many other instruments in their band class in the fall.

**Parents are invited on the last Friday (8/9) to a showcase of all we have learned

throughout the two weeks of camp!

Grade 6: Intermediate Band

10:00AM-11:00AM: All instruments

6th Graders who have a year of playing experience under their belt will join from
both campuses to play in an Intermediate Band. They will work on several fun concert
pieces and perform a mini concert for parents on the last Friday (8/9) of camp. This
is a great way to keep the momentum on their instruments going over the summer and
keep their skills fresh to start the year strong!
