Important Information for 1st and 2nd
Grade Lil' Dribblers
The cost for Lil' Dribblers is $30.00 and is due
when registering.
There is an option to purchase Lil' Dribblers
for 1st grade boys, 2nd grade boys, 1st grade girls, and 2nd grade girls.
Please select the correct grade level and gender for your child. If you
purchase a spot for the wrong grade level, your spot will be given to the first
student on the wait list.
Little Dribblers is a basketball program
designed to introduce First and Second graders to the game of basketball.
The first 16 boys and 16 girls from each grade level that sign up will be
awarded a spot. We will have a total of 32 boys and 32 girls assigned to
one of four teams. They will play two twelve-minute halves of basketball
on four specified Saturdays at the elementary gym. We will be
working in Physical Education class to prepare your son/daughter for this
program if they are interested. Little Dribblers will take place on four
Saturdays. They include: November 7th, November 14th, November 21st,
December 5th.
Mr. Wilcox will be running two of the sessions
and Mrs. Howe, former 4th Grade Liberty Teacher, will be running the other two
sessions.
At checkout, one of the questions you will be
asked is if you are willing to help out. We are looking for people that would
be willing to run a stop watch and help sub players in and out of games. This
is a tremendous help and thank you in advance if you are willing to lend a
hand.
Sign-ups start on Saturday, October 3rd at 12:00pm and end on Saturday, October 17th at
12:00pm.
Note: Registration will be on a first-come,
first-serve basis. If all spots are filled for your gender and grade level,
please email Mr. Wilcox at [email protected]. He will place your
child(ren) on a waitlist based on the order of emails received. If someone from
the first 64 spots decides they cannot join us, he will email the first person
on the waitlist.
When all participants are signed up, Mr. Wilcox
will create teams and email everyone a schedule. The first game of the day will
start at 8:00 a.m. and they will play two twelve-minute halves. The next game
will start at 8:40 and then 9:20, with the last game starting at 10:00. Players
only need to be there for their own games. You may come in a few minutes before
your game time. There are typically a few minutes for players to shoot around
before their game begins.
